EDITING and SAVING PICS IN PAINT.NET

  • ALL PROGRAMS/ CLICK ON PAINT
  • OPEN IMAGE – FILE/OPEN

Selecting a portion of the image to keep
    1. CLICK ON RECTANGLE SELECT
    2. + APPEARS ON SCREEN
    3. DRAW AROUND IMAGE TO SELECT
    4. CLICK ON EDIT/CUT
    5. FILE/NEW/
    6. NEW WINDOW APPEARS WITH SELECTION
    7. CLICK ON OK
    8. BLANK CANVAS APPEARS
    9. CLICK ON EDIT PASTE – TO PASTE THE PICTURE ON THE NEW CANVAS

Save image and keep the original
    1. Click on File/save as
    2. Save in window appears
    3. To add ed to the end of the file name – click on the right arrow on the keyboard and type ED
    4. Check the file type is .JPG – if it is not click on the down arrow and select .JPG
    5. Chose a location to save the file to by clicking on
    6. My Computer/your name/ Edited graphics
    7. Click on Save
